Yes, 4 times in 40 odd years.

An attempted burglary & auto theft in the late 1970s, an unprovoked attack by a bunch of drunks in a parking lot in very early 1980s, another attempted burglary in the mid 1980s, and a attempted car jacking in the mid 1990s. Nothing in the last 20 plus years.

I fortunately never had to fire, but was a split second away from being forced to do so.

There were other incidents were I did not present a weapon, but I was very happy I had one.
