I'm in the same boat. I really want to transition to my full size Gov. 1911 for EDC but my EDC for years has been a Glock 27., pretty hard to beat. Now open carry in a good rig., much more enjoyable with the 1911., IWB is gonna be challenging., maybe a high ride pancake holster with untucked Hawaiian shirt is my ticket.
