I had a similar situation a few years ago. A buddy called and asked me if I was interested in a K22. He knows my weakness for anything S&W. I said sure, and he sent over a young man who had a Mod 17-6, stainless 10 shot. He said he wanted $350 for it. I told him it might have a little higher value, but he said he just wanted $350. I paid him and told him if he changed his mind in the next couple weeks to come back. I would have easily have paid $550 back then. He never returned.

A friend had a K22 Outdorsman and wanted to sell it, and he asked me what it was worth. I told him probably arounf $1000 or a little more. His mouth dropped. He had given a neighbor $85 for it about 5 years earlier. It had a few minor rust spots, but otherwise about 80+%. I sold it here on the forum for $1000 within 2 or 3 days. It is probably worth $1500+ now.
