I have two nickel 39-2's but only one in the box. As you can see the mags are not blued but but not nickel either...just not blued. One is matte and the other is a bit shinier...not sure why. I can't speak for what might be out there but mine are as you see them for the all nickel version. My other one has the blued controls and blued magazines. The grip panels pictured are not the originals...those are in the box. I put this darker pair on for reasons I can't recall!
