My thinking, too. I’ve always thought folks who put the 10mm Auto cartridge in the same class with a .41 Magnum revolver were missing the mark.
There’s a bit of difference between the .41 and .44 Magnums, but for my purposes it’s not a lot. A .41 Magnum with a 220-gr LSWC at 1350-1400 FPS is nothing to sneeze at, and the .41 will do that safely in a 6-inch barrel - and maybe a bit more.
