I owned a Kimber Ultra Carry CDP II and carried it for uears. Light, small, and great caliber. I fired thousands of rounds of various handloads and a great many HP's from different manufacturers without any issues.
I will make one recomendation. When I bought mine there was concern over the steel mag follower chipping the feedramp. The solution was to replace the follower with a polymer version ( at the time I believe Wilson sold them) or do not shoot the mag dry. I replaced the followers.
Other than that, I highly recomment that gun for carry.
