All the "Dad" P.08 references here remind of.
My Dad was indifferent to guns, not pro, not against, just indifferent. All my guns I bought myself.
Curiously is "Service pistol" was a P.08(in service here from from 1943 to 1961 when it was replaced, but not completely, by the P.38). I remember when I showed him my water pistol(that too was bought with my savings) is only comment was - Ah! a Parabellum.
