I have to agree with Logo ... I started reloading in '77, and it is what has kept me in rifle and pistol matches! Two weeks ago, I shot a GSSF match in SW Virginia and stopped at the Cabela's and Gander Outdoors that I passed.

At Cabela's, I was more interested in components: powder was non-existent, they had one brick of CCI LRP, but they had it priced the same as benchrest primers. They didn't have any jacketed bullets that I was interested in, and the cast and plated bullets that I could be interested in were listed at twice the MSRP!

Meanwhile, at Gander Outdoors, all they had in handgun ammo was 3 boxes of 32 S&W, not even S&W Longs!

I have a back order of a thousand Federal 9mm 147gr FNFMJ that is supposed to ship next weekend, but I'm not holding my breath! If the weather holds later this week and the temperature isn't too hot, I will probably start casting some bullets for the 9, 38/357, and 45.

Out of curiosity, can anyone recommend any gun shops in the vicinity of Talladega?

As always, thanks in advance for your help!
