I read a few articles about this, apparently its tge perfect storm for ammo shortages. 1. Gun sales, esp new gun owners is thru the roof due to the social unrest/fear about Biden banning stuff(whether realistic or not) 2. Since the USA has ZERO lead smelting operations due to EPA, it comes from China. We're in a trade war with them. 3. Copper mining was ground to a halt due to COVID. 4. With walmart ending significant ammo sales, no other stores had the money or balls to take on the millions they spent to sign contracts with ammo distributors. Those distributors never placed the big orders because of this(which was stupid in retrospect).
