Welcome from Illinois. Since you have obtained an FFL, your best bet is a Gunbroker auction. Start at .01 with no reserve, and let it run for 10 days to 2 weeks and ending on a Sunday evening. This will bring your best honest results.

Valuing guns takes time and experience, and lots of reference material. Constant reviewing "sold" auctions to see what particular models have brought. Study the pictures of condition in the Blue Book and the other reference books to determine wear patterns and finish condition and become familiar with various faults to look for in particular models.
