I carried a 1911 in the same position while quadding, in a Milt Sparks Summer Special IWB holster, and one day decided to carry it cocked & locked on an empty chamber.

At the end of the day the safety had worked itself off, but the hammer stayed cocked.

Switched to a Glock 20.

These days I carry a skinnier Shield .40 there and can grab a handful of love handle blubber in about .02 seconds!
