I have a few powders on hand suited to loading supersonic, but no more than a pound of any, and after putting up close to 100 test rounds with various bullets/powders, realized I wasn’t going to be able to run many after settling on a load.

I made a rare trip to an LGS that has the most reliable stock of reloading supplies, hoping to score a couple ponds of something, maybe H110 or r 4227.

The only thing on my shopping list was an 8 lb keg of Lil Gun.

Logic went out the window, and I left 8 lbs heavier and $200 lighter.

I really didn’t want to make a bulk buy on a powder for this round yet, but fear took over. I rationalized if this shop had such limited choices, pickings must indeed be getting slim.

Additional rationale:I do also run Lil Gun in .357 and .22 Hornet, and this was a few bucks a pond less than buying singles.
