When I was young pilot ,an old WW2 attack pilot told me " There are two things that do you no good, the fuel you left on the ground and the runway behind you." Always go to END of the runway and takeoff with FULL fuel. Same should be true with EXTRA Mag(s)/ammo.
On my first trip to THUNDER RANCH, Clint Smith said "In a gunfight you never know how many attackers there are and you never know how much ammo they have , always carry extra ammo".
And that is what I do, every day , every where.
