Galloway replied to me, saying that they've had no reports of issues with the use of their Plus 3 pad with the factory magazine spring. So I ordered some of those, as they're a third of the price of the Apex base pads. I'll report back results after I get them and give them some range time. Good thing I stocked up on 9mm ammo a couple of years ago, when they were practically giving it away and giving rebates.
