The last time I qualified for the BU was in 2016, but the course then had just replaced the old PQC I had shot for 25 years before that.

The original replacement course was the normal 50 rounds and didn't include any rounds at the 25. After loud catterwauling from us firearms instructors 10 rounds were added at the 25, though you can shoot them all into the dirt and still qualify with a round to spare.
The old revolver course had rounds at fifty yards, and the "possible" course started at 60 yards, which meant on some ranges you were shooting from the parking lot.
