There is a market for them because wooden or rubber grips just can't be made in a factory to a perfect fit for your hand. These Tyler and BK grips obviously satisfy a need that some of us have; to have a sold, perfect grip that requires no re-positioning of your hand on a grip.
Take a look at my picture above and tell me the last time you saw a good-looking set of wood grips that filed out that profile. You haven't. I'm not taking anything away from Culina's extra-fine work and others, but these just work well in action. Try holding either a J-frame or K/L frame Magna grip and tell me you are comfortable. I can't see it. Besides the grip being faulty, balance is off.
