The answer to this question is customarily a Model 10 .38 special with 148 g. full wadcutters. Easy to point and shoot, low recoil, lethal. No racking required. That said, you would be smart to have her try a few different guns and see what she likes. Smaller .22's tend to have a heavy trigger and hard to hold on target
