I carry a Smith & Wesson Sigma SW40VE during cold weather.
Look familiar? It should, because it's basically a clone of the Glock 23, but with a different grip that's much more ergonomic. S&W actually had a lawsuit filed against them over the similarities between the Gen 1 Sigma SW40F and the G23, but it was ultimately settled out of court. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery as they say, and even the modern M&P Series of semiautomatic pistols is actually for the most part just a hybrid design between the Sigma and the SW99, making it a pistol which blends together the Glock design with elements of the Walther P99, so anyone who trash-talks Glocks yet praises the semiautomatic M&P pistols is just being ignorant.
Both brands are great, so you can't go wrong with either. Personally, I prefer Smith & Wesson semiautomatic pistols because they fit my hands better.
