There have been some several HE's sold in the $50K-$85K range the last 30+ years. Only 2 or 3 have exceeded $100k, i.e. Elvis Presley's 2-1/2" Model 19-2, which sold at Rock Island Auction a couple years ago for $192,500. A Kornbrath signed and gold-inlaid K22 Outdoorsman sold for $150,000 quite a while back, I don't remember for certain if that sale was pre- or post- year 2000.

In addition to the .44 DA cited in this thread, I am personally familiar with 4 S&W's which have sold at various amounts between $500K and $2 million in the last decade or so. All are pre-1899 antique models.
