Carried a M&P 40 cal when in uniform and a Glock 30/19 at other times out
of uniform. You are totally correct in your statement cyphertext but these
are large guns that can be cleared fairly easily if the gun misfires.

On the other hand, a small gun like the LCP 2, M&P 380 and others have
a very small slide. Under stress with sweaty hands etc., you might not be able to rack
the slide to clear the gun for any number of reasons in time to get off that life saving shot.
In shooting thousands of rounds over 50 years, I have only had 1 misfire
with a small gun like mentioned above and that second trigger pull set
the round off in less than a second. Just Sayen.
