Honestly those loads were loaded for a 6" revolver, Ruger GP100 to be exact. Never chrono'd them in the pistol and if memory serves they didn't shoot too bad. They pattern superb out of the Henry and chrono consistent 1700fps. I agree to an extent of them being too fast for an XTP. However I'm pleased after seeing this recovered bullet from a whitetail. I was using the Hornady FTX Leverevolution's in 357 in my Henry and was not impressed with those at all. On paper and on game. On game that bullet doesn't expand, just punches clean holes through both sides. No game was lost, however almost no blood trail and they went farther than any XTP game we've taken with both handgun and rifle.
