I love them too!! However I have always disliked the "understudies" may be the lesser powered of the big boys but have plenty of knock down power when it comes to PRICE $$$$!!!!
I have an 18 that you'd call me a liar if I told you about how many .22s have been through it.I was fortunate to have a wonderful Grandfather and an awesome Dad so I grew up with S&W in my blood but when I started buying them years ago I'd lust after such "understudies" ESPECIALLY the full underluggers but they'd cost TWICE what a .38 or even a .357 cost so it took me years to obtain them... and I have gone over bored ever since. I have many but I'll throw in a picture of a small selection
And HO-LEE HECK.... check out that MkIVNo2 above in .22! High five on that piece goodness... I just have this Ol ratty No4mk2 myself...but it's no understudy unfortunately (although it's a-ok in my book too)
