NRA Bullseye (now Precision) Match .
We shot with 3 guns , a 22 Rimfire , 32 or 38 cal. centerfire and 45 cal centerfire , usually a 45 acp in 1911 form .

Each gun was fired in three legs ... Slow Fire , Timed Fire and Rapid Fire .

We had an indoor shooting league , we gathered on Tuesday nights to shoot the different legs and many would practice on Thursday nights . The better shooter helping the new shooters hone their skills .
The Range gave us discounts for being in the League . It was good clean fun , taught you to shoot ... one handed , unsupported , realy taught you some skills .
Target grips helped your score and every one of my pistols had some special Target Grips ...it didn't matter what it looked like ...if it could better your score ... you used it !
Those days are gone ... seems now it's spay the area with 15 rounds of 9mm and hope too many bystanders don't get hit ..
I much prefer small groups that look like clover leaf's ... but I'm old .
