I know that for me to be able to shoot decent groups with my SD40 , especially quick double taps, etc., that I must have a very firm grip on it and pull the trigger straight back in a smooth, uninterrupted motion. The point of impact on my double tap pic below was about an inch or two left of point of aim but hit exactly where my sights were aligned as far as elevation and these were fired just as soon as my sights met the target. In the second pic the hole circled was my very last shot of the session and much more time was taken with the sights & trigger pull. Both windage and elevation is exactly where the POA was. Both pics were at 7 yards, two hand grip, standing off hand with Federal American Eagle 180 gr. FMJ.

Mine will shoot well but a little more work / concentration is needed for it to perform well vs. some of my other handguns.
