......a new grill!

After 10 years my Treager pellet smoker/grill finally croaked to a point where I didn't want to install new parts. Our local Tractor Supply had their Pit Boss Peller/Smoker Grills on sale (some assembly required). Seeing as it's the 4th of July tomorrow, I couldn't be left grill-less. That would be grossly Un-American! I let it run for about an hour at 450* to season it. Venison roast it is tomorrow.

Congratulations, my brother bought a smoker, the brand with the bull on it. Since then I've abandoned my Weber grill. We smoke everything on it.

Nice unit.

I do very little smoking, so I am sticking with old faithful my 20 plus year old Weber Kettle even though I have a NIB Big Green Egg I won at a golf tournament raffle.

The kettle is a bit tired, and I had to replace the grate which was almost burned through from use. I will be grilling brats, burgers and steaks for years to come.

I had a Traeger, but gave it to my daughter - wasn't as large as I wanted. I then bought a Pit Boss and love it.

When I bought the Treager they were pretty much the only game in town as far as pellet grills go. Now there's a bunch of companies making them. I gotta say, I'm liking this Pit Boss better than the Treager so far.
