Most avid revolver fans I know reload. Even with primers taking a 3x jump in price in the last 3 years, my 38 reloads are still under 20 cents per shot. So only about double the cost of a 22.
Still, I shoot more 22 than all other calibers combined, just because I don’t want to be a slave to the reloading bench.
