Default Postage Rate Increase

For some reason, ShipStation, the third party that took over shipping for PayPal a couple of years ago, has raised the rate charged for Small Flat Rate boxes from the $8.10 that it has been since the general postage rate increase last January, to $8.55. So that's what I'm applying to orders going forward.

This is actually the "normal" Commercial rate that I see listed in the USPS web site when I look. The $8.10 that I have been charging is some sort of super discounted rate - I don't know how ShipStation got it, but as long as that was all I was being charged, that's all I have asked customers to pay.

This rate will go up again in late January 2024, when all postal rates get adjusted. But until then, I'm only passing along what I'm paying for the label.
