I have carried daily almost everywhere since 1971when I started in LE. I first had a 4" 66 and a model 60 as well as an AMT Backup,(hated that thing). When I moved to Colorado in 1980 I went to a 2.5" 66 while first in administration at the SD. Shortly thereafter, I went to carrying a 1911 almost exclusively for 25+years. I have many choices and now in retirement still carry every day, everywhere. I don't always carry in the house but have one within reach at all times. I am always armed when leaving the house. I was a very active Chief in my small town for almost 12 years as when I was the Undersheriff in Eagle County CO for 16. lots of people still know me from my LE career. although I have and occasionally carry a J frame in my pocket, I have gone to mid size .9mm's for the most part for higher capacity and better shoot ability.
