This 1917 (serial #1279) isn’t the most beautiful but it works great! Finish is rough so no need to baby it.
Bore and chambers are in MUCH a better shape than the outside finish.
Sling swivel, appropriate U.S. Government markings all present. Serial number match.
This is definitely a shooter, not a safe queen. No worries about damaging the finish. Where else can you find a working 5 screw N frame Smith for $500?
I’ve used it as a big kit gun stuck in a tackle box or saddle bag wrapped with a rag.
