See this splendid no dash 18 I bought "early" in 2015 at a gun show in Pueblo for $625, with the box and papers. It dates, by the book, to 1958. Curiously, the period correct stocks don't number. It's a beauty and I do shoot it occasionally like a guided missile.

I love it dearly alongside the 17-4, the post-war Masterpiece, and the pre-war Outdoorsman. If I had to make a statement under oath, the 17-4 is the most accurate of the bunch at 50+ yards. All enjoy CCI SV. The 17 and 18 have had the chambers reamed with excellent results; didn't want to touch the older versions.
