In terms of gunleather that is
absolutely true. Back in the day, when they were new pistols, I carried mine in a 3" Colt holster from Bianchi, the 9R-1 or -2 that is ideal. Charter offered their own line of gunleather because of the 'middle' sizing of it, made initially for them by Seventrees of all companies.
