I have repaired two broken 916 firing pins. One was mine, another someone else's. Very easy to do if you have a lathe. It was originally Noble's design, S&W just took it over and gave it a different name. Disassembly is a little difficult. Never had a cracked trigger assembly, don't know exactly what that means. Actually not a bad design. I bought one used about 25 years ago and prettied it up a little. Sold it around six months ago for $200 because I have pretty much stopped hunting and clay bird shooting. Taught my grandchildren to use a shotgun with it.
