Default Win. M/71 Stock Refinish..........

I've been refinishing Winchester stocks for years, the best product that I've found is called Timberluxe. Check out their website for details and a thorough video tutorial on this finish's application, they also make an excellent stain for restoring the color of Winchester stocks. If there is enough original finish left and you don't want to go to the trouble of stripping, check out a product called Qualarenu by Behlen. IT is available at woodworking stores or online, Qualarenu does what woodworkers call a solvent refinish. It dissolves the existing finish allowing it to be spread around, this preserves the color of the original stain and the patina is not disturbed as in stripping and sanding. I've used both of these products and the results have been well accepted by customers.
