.40S&W is alive and well at my house. I started with a Ruger SR40c around 2012 or so, sold it when I started getting rid of all my plastic guns. then bought a Springfield EMP4 chambered for it, and then found a BHP chambered in .40. The EMP4 is a daily carry now.
I kind of wish I'd kept the Ruger, didn't need to worry about beating it up and it was a great carry piece. That's okay, though, I live with the small wear marks on the SA.
