If those are situation where you (or anyone) think its most likely a scenario may unfold, then its worth taking the next steps preparation. This doesn't have to be full scenarios - to some extent those who poke fun at that idea are right. We can't plan what people will actually do.


Rather what I'm suggesting (and you may have already done so) is know the entrances and exit options, how people may move, where there is cover, etc, and maybe some ways you will respond depending on what the bad guy(s) are doing. We can save ourselves time if a sitation develops so we are not looking around for cover/exit/assistance but already know our options.
