Yeah, me too! In my mind a torsion spring is one that twists along its axis, like the old MOPAR suspension springs. They were rods that twisted. The hand spring in an S&W doesn't act that way. But I guess since it provides a twisting force to the hand, S&W called it a torsion spring. Yet another S&W term to confuse me . . . .
