I owned one of the second run R51s and got it to run reliably after Rem replaced the original mags. It was fun to shoot and a royal pain to clean. About the time I got confident enough to carry it I won a Shield in a raffle and pedaled the R51.

Wife and I each own an RM380 which as a DAO is to my mind the ideal for pocket carry. Hers is her EDC. Mine is limited to preventing nakedness at fancy occasions.

Carried a war trophy .32 Browning 1922 off duty for a few months. Needed new springs. Wife decided I needed a new gun. 45 years years later still don't need a new wife. ��
