Well, I have learned a great deal about 1911's just reading all these replies and I sure want to thank all of you for responding with all this info. I guess one way to put it would be "I didn't even know what I didn't know", but I'm learning a lot and that's one of the great things about this terrific forum. I'd forgotten about the lifetime warranty and I am the original owner, so I'll be contacting RIA to see how they want to proceed about getting my "Rock" running correctly again.
