I have a 1930’s Model 12 Winchester that needs a firing pin. 20 gauge model. What is the best place to get one of these from?? Thanks!

Midwest Gun Parts usualy has them.
The 16g/20g/28g guns all take the same fireing pin
The 12ga guns take a separate size firing pin.

Some fitting can be required especially on an early gun to make sure the Firing Pin Retractor is both doing it's job and it also doesn't get in the way of the new FP when the Retractor should be clear of the FP.
Not always a Drop-In type of situation.

Very true. I've had to do a good bit of fitting on various Model 12 parts over the years. They aren't like a lot of other guns where one size fits all.

Thank you! I did get a new pin for it and put it in without any fitting problems. Gun is back in service now and performing like it should. The more I work on these Model 12’s I realize they had a lot of custom hand fitting and sometimes replacement parts do not just drop in. Perhaps that is why they are so reliable and do not often need fixing??

I had/ have many factory firing pins and put them on eBay for $9.99@ The m12 pins sold fast. I should have paid more attention I didn’t realize the factory’s were worth $40@. Hadn’t bought any parts for over 25yrs and when I did bought unit amounts.
90% of time Pins weren’t broke. Guns were so gummed up they were getting soft strike syndrome.
