Hello
The 45 AUTO reviews that I did were shot with a Walther PPQ 45 with a polygonal 4*¼ inch barrel.

First I do forensic exam of the ammunition. Next I shoot a group while chronographing. Targets were were set at 15 yards. Chronograph is a Oehler 35P

Then one round of each ammunition brand is shot into a 55 gallon plastic barrel of water. The bullet is then recovered, photographed and then measured for expansion. In cases where the bullet fragments and loses its jacket, a weight is taken with all the recovered material and also a weight taken with just the lead core.
Here is the link to all the photos of the review;

This load was just as fast as any 185gr load I've worked with. Accuracy OK. Recoil was manageable. If you're looking for penetration this might fill the bill.

When I look for penetration I do NOT consider a hollow point.

Hi
In a strict sense of the word, I agree. For woods carry I use a 200gr hard cast in my 10mm. That round penetrates. Out of all the JHP .45 loads I tested, I believe this one would penetrate the most..

That bullet should have excellent penetration with it's cupped hp & 1000fps+ velocity.
