Default Oregon's DOG & PONY Show

The open meeting for Oregon's SB 1551 was held yesterday at the State Capitol. Lot's of folks showed up, and they gave you two minutes to speak your piece. Except the elite had a little more time.

As I posted earlier Gabby Gifford's husband Mark Kelly did show up with his usual canned speech, however our Governor made a surprise visit (naturally pre-planned with Kelly's visit) along with relatives of the deceased Clackamas Mall shooting incident.

Daniel Reid of the NRA spoke along with Kevin Starett who is Director of the Oregon Firearms Federation and their points fell on deaf ears. I can honestly say, that I was truly amazed at the stupidity of these people who support this legislation.

In my earlier post, I mentioned that I probably would not carry my weapon into the capitol, however, I holstered the old 66-1 and proudly walked into the meeting. I looked around and saw nearly all of the opponents of this bill were strapped with their weapons in open carry. When I entered the meeting area, I did badge the Trooper as a courtesy and he told me there are so many guns in the room one more would not matter. I was proud of my fellow patriots for exercising their open carry right under Oregon law.

You people in Oregon need to erect a fence between yourselves and California. It spreads like a cancer.

Good luck to you Sierra and your friends. I hope you folks can stop this intrusion on your Second Amendment rights. I am afraid that sometime in the future that this Liberal Government will come and try to disarm the private citizen and things are going to be very bad.
