Isn't she the one that thought magazines were disposable and only good for one time use?

And of course the deadly barrel shroud is on there. Without that barrels just fall off

Stilt continues to show her ignorance. Of course, no mention of the armed citizen who stopped the Texas tragedy from being worse.

Pretty much all of the States already have laws on the books regarding firearms, ammo and capacity.I don't believe anything the Feds try to do can supersede State laws or Constitution.

This is just stirring the pot to keep it in the news.In 2009 the Dems controlled everything and a similar attempt only got 40 votes.

It all just means that we should remain vigilant and get out to vote in the 2018 midterms.

Not really. No firearm or magazine restrictions here in Pa. You can carry a belt fed handgun chambered in 30-06 (example). Most states don't have any restrictions. Only ones I know of are CO, NY, NJ, CA, MA, HI. I could be missing a few but if there's another 5 that would make it 11 out of 50 states

I don't believe so. However, IIRC, she is the one who said that gun laws wouldn't have prevented the Las Vegas mass shooting.

Edit: Yup...she did...

They adapt and learn.

This bill mentions that too however, it also mentions that by passing it the bill can save people from possible future shootings

Feinstein is not intelligent enough to draft legislation. I'm sure she is intelligent enough to accept drafts from anti-gun groups and present those as her own work product.

While mayor of San Francisco she did preside over several extremely restrictive gun control laws, and at one point actually surrendered her .22 target pistol on the same day she received her concealed carry permit for her .38 revolver. Apparently, in Feinstein's world gun control applies to everyone other than herself. Now that she is in national politics I'm sure she is constantly surrounded by armed security forces while pursuing her goal of disarming the unwashed masses.

It's just for show so the Dems can claim they are trying to do something. It's not going anywhere.

Right NOW, it's not going anywhere.

And I hope it NEVER goes anywhere.

But I also think it is some sort of ground work for the Dem/Gun Grabber agenda for when the day comes and they have 51 votes in the Senate.

They can re-introduce time and again and keep it in the forefront until circumstances are right.

I would be curious what the other sitting Senators will say in committee and on the floor. I am sure she will be on the receiving end of some priceless finger wagging, scolding, and humiliation...from REAL Americans.

Someone needs to give here a one way ticket back to her sanctuary city, deny her a visa back to America, and limit her First Amendment Free Speech rights just as she is wanting to limit 2A RKBA rights.

It means exactly that! Whatever "they" deem necessary whenever "they feel like it.

I always wondered how these bills get going? (not really, they just write them)
It seems that the wishes of the people whom the elected ones are supposed to represent would have to want this or any other bill? Where is it shown that the majority of people that they represent (I do not care what party) want this.??

To me it seems more of a this is what the Senator(s) want on their own??

Not here in the Show Me State. If they sell it, you can buy it and own it. We in Fly Over Country are great supporters of both capitalism and the Second Amendment. And personal freedom . . .

Same for Pa. If it's not banned by the Feds it's legal to own/shoot/carry

Well this is not quite true. If the Fed law is in conflict with a State law the Fed law rules per Article VI of the Constitution under the Supremacy Clause. So yes, the states can pass whatever laws they want and it will stand up IF it is not in conflict with any Fed law. That's why CA and NY and NJ can do what they do. Now how NJ can enforce a ban pretty much controlling transporting a firearm through the state is beyond me. But it's going to cost you a LOT of money proving them wrong if you're caught.

I do not think this is true.

As far as I am aware, FOPA does apply to firearms being trasported through New Jersey in compliance with FOPA, i.e., at least unloaded, locked in the trunk of the car, and no stops.

Note, in the Third Circuit, which covers New Jersey, FOPA applies to transport in the trunk of an automobile but not if you are carrying in luggage through the Newark New Jersey airport.

Also, I do not think FOPA applies to ammunition (read hollowpoints) and it might not apply to "large capacity" magazines.

Be careful out there

I guess I've read of several cases that were horror stories but on further research those idiots asked for it by not following FOPA. I could not find any examples to support my statement. Thanks for making me look that up as I purposely have not brought my handgun with me because I would be traveling through NJ, NY and Mass. I will in the future and will comply with FOPA on the transport.

If the bill pases I will rest easy knowing that the new law covers:

Quote:
‘‘(A) A semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any 1 of the
following:
(i..) A pistol grip.
(ii.) A forward grip.
(iii) A folding, telescoping, or detachable stock.
(iv) A grenade launcher or rocket launcher.
(v.) A barrel shroud.
(vi) A threaded barrel.
I feel safer already because:

(i) Will eliminate drive-by pistol grippings
(ii) Will eliminate unwelcome and harassing grips in the workplace
(iii) Eliminating telescoping stocks will prohibit guns that can adjust from 35" to 36" in overall length
(iv) I cannot describe how safe this makes me feel
(v) The shoulder thing that goes up?
(vi) I don't even understand why people get their eyebrows threaded
