Ten years ago, or so, I was a regular listener to his radio program. His over the top, old-man macho shtick grew a little thin at times, but he was always entertaining. The thing about Liddy though, which even his detractors admit, is that he has a very quick mind, and is pretty well versed in a number of areas. I faxed him a question once during his show, which lead to about a 15 minute response on the logic behind his belief in God. It was extemporaneous, and very impressive. They used to play it on his "best of" shows.

...and he pronounced my name correctly, which puts him in a distinct minority...
