I think you'll find the .45 S&W an interesting round to work with. Most likely your brass will be Starline, which are premium quality. I'd look at maximum 45 acp loads and go from there. With cast bullets, Trailboss would probably work well. Don't try to equal 44 magnum loads, even in a rechambered M629, but a 250 gr. JHP @ 1100 fps should be obtainable. I have one of the new M25 Classics(should be called a M26) in 45 Colt with a 6.5" barrel,blue finish,and of course, will shoot both the 45 Colt and 45 S&W. I haven't had a chance to shoot it much yet, but plan to soon. I have both calibers of brass to work with.Bob
