I also was watching, but I too bought one of the "bloodworks" guns. Paid more than I should have, but I WANTED it. When I took delivery I found out that my wanting was well deserved. I would have paid 2K for the 3" if I had had the cash. A 3" 627 is absolutely ideal I think, especially cut for moon clips as is the Bloodwork gun.
1aafan, I assume the dual cylinders are smooth and fluted, not different caliber?
