I need an education.I bought the revolver that I had an earlier post about.I am powerfully confused. It appears to be an I frame according to the SCSW.The serial number 114xx indicates it was made in 1903,04.The part that I don't get is, it is a 4 screw, no screw in front of the triggerguard. The serial number on the barrel, cylinder, and the butt of the frame all match,so it has not been rebarreled. It has the S&W logo on the right side of the frame,32 long on the right side of the barrel, and has the cyl.thumb release. On top of the barrel it has patent dates of Feb.6,06 Sept 14,09 Dec.29,14.When do you think it was made, and is it a second model? Thanks for educating me.
