I have the same S&W PC 627 and the double action on mine is as good as the single action. I would return to the S&W Preforance Center for correction before getting it worked on elsewhere. JMO ....

I agree, send it back to the PC. Their guns are supposed to have the reduced power springs and smoothed actions, so a very heavy DA pull means it needs work. It should be in the 8 - 9# ballpark. Some PC guns are not as good as others...... but for the ridiculous prices they charge, you should make them fix it.
