I'm glad McGivern wrote the book. I think he was an incredible shooter, and it is a fine thing he wrote the book to pass on what he had learned. I hope he made some money out of it, too, inasmuch as I doubt he was a wealthy man and probably, like the rest of us, needed the bucks.

And we're sittin' around talking about his book 70 years after he published it, which is more than can be said of most books.

But I don't think it speaks ill of a shooting legend to note he we was bad writer. I bet Pavarotti was a lousy basketball player, too, but the man sure could sing.
