The .357 Kurz/Corto
The .357 Special
The .357 Short Mag.

or

The S&W 38 Special.

No need for anything else, if you ask me. It's the only round that would eclipse the versatility of the .22 LR round, which by itself is a virtual "last one to give up" round.
