I recently picked up a 686-3. it's in great shape, but I want to polish it with Mother's Mag polish. I have done the same to other stainless S&W's I have owned, and they polished up very quickly. The 686 seems to be taking a lot longer. I have spent probably an hour on it so far, and it's a bit shinier, but not what I have accomplished with other guns. I don't want to use a Dremel or anything. Is there a better product? I have a tube of Flitz, but the Mother's did a better job on the other guns I have used it on.
